حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُلَيْلٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ وَجَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الشَّامِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ الرامهرمزي قَالُوا ثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِقُرَيْشٍ «لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ فِيكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ وُلَاتُهُ مَا لَمْ تُحْدِثُوا أَحْدَاثًا فَيُسَلِّطُ عَلَيْكُمْ شِرَارَ خَلْقِهِ فَيَلْتَحُوكُمْ كَمَا يُلْتَحَى الْقَضِيبُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Quraysh, "This affair will continue to be among you, and you will be its guardians, as long as you do not introduce innovations. Then He will set upon you the worst of His creation, and they will strip you as a branch is stripped."
