حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْقَنْطَرِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الرَّمْلِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ فِطْرِ بْنِ خَلِيفَةَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ ضَمْعَجٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لِيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَقْرَؤُكُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللهِ فَإِنْ كَانَتِ الْقِرَاءَةُ وَاحِدَةً فَأَعْلَمُكُمْ بِالسُّنَّةِ فَإِنْ كَانَتِ السُّنَّةُ وَاحِدَةً فَأَقْدَمُكُمْ هِجْرَةً فَإِنْ كَانَتِ الْهِجْرَةُ وَاحِدَةً فَأَقْدَمُكُمْ سِنًّا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Let the one most versed in the Book of Allah lead you. If the recitation is equal, then the one most knowledgeable of the Sunnah. If the Sunnah is equal, then the one who emigrated earliest. If the emigration is equal, then the oldest of you."
