حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ

نَاشَدَ عُثْمَانُ ؓ النَّاسَ يَوْمًا فَقَالَ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَعِدَ أُحُدًا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ ؓ وَأَنَا فَارْتُجَّ أُحُدٌ وَعَلَيْهِ مُحَمَّدٌ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ ؓ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اثْبُتْ أُحُدُ مَا عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيُّ وَصِدِّيقٌ وَشَهِيدَانِ»

✧ Uthman ؓ adjured the people one day and said: Do you know that the Prophet ﷺ climbed Uhud, and Abu Bakr and Umar ؓ and I, and Uhud trembled, and upon it were Muhammad the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman ؓ? The Prophet ﷺ said: "Be still, Uhud, for upon you are none but a Prophet, a Siddiq, and two martyrs."
