حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ؓ قَالَ
قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا فَبِكَلِمَةٍ طَيَّبَةٍ» أَدْخَلَ جَرِيرٌ وَفُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ وَأَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ بَيْنَ الْأَعْمَشِ وَخَيْثَمَةَ عَمْرَو بْنَ مُرَّةَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and said: “Guard against the Fire, even with half a date. If you cannot find that, then with a good word.” Jarīr, Fuḍayl b. ʿIyāḍ, Asbāṭ b. Muḥammad, and Abū Muʿāwiyah inserted ʿAmr b. Murrah into this hadith between al-Aʿmash and Khaythamah.
