حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُسَاوِرٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلَامٍ فِي نَخْلَةٍ فَأَتَى عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلَامٍ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنِّي سَائِلُكَ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ فَإِنْ أَنْتَ أَخْبَرْتَنِي بِهَا آمَنْتُ بِكَ» الْحَدِيثَ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came to Madinah while ʿAbd Allāh b. Salām was in a palm grove. ʿAbd Allāh b. Salām came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said: “I will ask you about things that no one knows except a prophet. If you tell me about them, I will believe in you.” — the ḥadīth.
