✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Abu Bakr and ordered him to proclaim these words, then he sent Ali after him. While Abu Bakr was on part of the road, he heard the grumbling sound of the camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abu Bakr came out startled, thinking it was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and behold it was Ali. He handed him the letter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He appointed him over the pilgrimage season and ordered Ali to proclaim these words. They both set off and performed the Hajj. Ali stood during the days of Tashriq and proclaimed, "The protection of Allah and the protection of His Messenger is free from every polytheist. So travel freely in the land for four months. No polytheist should perform Hajj after this year, and no one should circumambulate the House naked, and none will enter Paradise except a believer." Ali kept proclaiming it, and when his voice became hoarse, Abu Hurayrah stood up and proclaimed it.
