حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ وَعِيسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ السِّمْسَارُ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ قَرْمٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ بِبَرَاءَةٍ ثُمَّ أتْبَعَهُ عَلِيًّا فَأَخَذَهَا فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ حَدَثَ فِيَّ شَيْءٌ؟ قَالَ «لَا أَنْتَ صَاحِبِي فِي الْغَارِ وَعَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَلَا يُؤَدِّي عَنِّي إِلَّا أَنَا أَوْ عَلِيٌّ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Abu Bakr with [Surat] Bara'ah, then he sent Ali after him and he took it. Abu Bakr said, "Has something happened concerning me?" He said, "No, you are my companion in the cave and at the Pond, and no one should deliver [it] on my behalf except me or Ali."
