حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
غَزَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ غَزَاةً فَلَمْ يَفْرُغْ مِنْهُمْ حَتَّى أَمْسَى بِصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ عَنِ الْوَقْتِ الَّذِي كَانَ يُحَافِظُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْهُمْ نَظَرَ فَإِذَا صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ قَدْ أُمْسِيَ بِهَا فَصَلَّى فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ دَعَا عَلَى عَدُوِّهِ وَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ مَنْ شَغَلَنَا عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى امْلَأْ بُيُوتَهُمْ نَارًا وَامْلَأْ أَجْوَافَهُمْ نَارًا وَامْلَأْ قُبُورَهُمْ نَارًا»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ went on a military expedition and had not finished with the enemy until the afternoon prayer was delayed past its usual time. When he had finished with them, he looked and saw that the afternoon prayer had been delayed into the evening, so he prayed. When he had finished his prayer, he called upon his enemy and said: “O God, whoever kept us from the middle prayer, fill their houses with fire, fill their bellies with fire, and fill their graves with fire.”
