✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was on one of his expeditions, and a man said: “O Messenger of God, what do you say about the children [of the polytheists]?” The Messenger of God ﷺ remained silent and did not answer him a word until he had finished his expedition and went around. Then he saw a boy who had fallen from a litter, and it was him. His caller announced: “Where is the one who asked about the children?” The man came to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he forbade killing their children and said: “God knows best what they would have done.”
