حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أُمِّ مُبَشِّرٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَطَبَ امْرَأَةَ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَعْرُورٍ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي شَرَطْتُ لِزَوْجِي أَنْ لَا أَتَزَوَّجُ بَعْدَهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ هَذَا لَا يَصْلُحُ»

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ proposed to the wife of al-Bara' b. Maʿrur, and she said: “I stipulated to my husband that I would not marry after him.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “This is not appropriate.”
