حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمَّا رَأَى الصُّوَرَ فِي الْبَيْتِ يَعْنِي الْكَعْبَةَ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ حَتَّى أَمَرَ بِهَا فَمُحِيَتْ وَرَأَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ بِأَيْدِيهِمَا الْأَزْلَامُ فَقَالَ «قَاتَلَهُمُ اللهُ وَاللهِ مَا اسْتَقْسَمَا بِالْأَزْلَامِ قَطُّ»

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ saw the images in the house—meaning the Ka‘bah—he did not enter until he ordered them erased. He saw Ibrahim and Isma‘il with divination arrows in their hands and said: “May God fight them! By God, they never sought omens with divination arrows at all.”
