حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الْبَارِقِيُّ ثنا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَعَلَّمُوا الزَّهْرَاوَيْنِ الْبَقَرَةَ وَآلَ عِمْرَانَ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَجِيئَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَمَامَتَانِ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَيَايَتَانِ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا فِرْقَانِ مِنْ طَيْرٍ صَوَافٍّ يُحَاجَّانِ عَنْ صَاحِبِهِمَا تَعَلَّمُوا الْبَقَرَةَ فَإِنَّ أَخَذَهَا بَرَكَةٌ وَتَرْكَهَا حَسْرَةٌ وَلَا تَسْتَطِيعُهَا الْبَطَلَةُ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Learn the two radiant suras, al-Baqarah and Al ‘Imran, for they will come on the Day of Resurrection as if they were two clouds, or two canopies, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for their companion. Learn al-Baqarah, for taking it is blessing and leaving it is regret, and the idle cannot master it.”
