✧ “O Messenger of Allah, so-and-so has died,” meaning a sheep. He said, “Why did you not take its skin?” They said, “Should we take the skin of a sheep that has died?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, “Allah only said: {Say, ‘I do not find in what has been revealed to me anything forbidden to one who eats it, unless it is carrion, or flowing blood, or the flesh of swine.’} You would not eat it; rather, you would tan it and benefit from it.” So she sent for it, skinned its hide, tanned it, and made a water skin from it until it wore out at her place.
