حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا طَالِبُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ الْأَذَنِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ الطَّبَّاعِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَلَا هَامَةَ وَلَا صَفَرَ» فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا لَنَأْخُذُ الشَّاةَ الْجَرْبَاءَ فَنَطْرَحُهَا فِي الْغَنَمِ فَتَجْرَبُ قَالَ «فَمَنْ أَعْدَى الْأَوَّلَ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “There is no contagion, no bad omen in birds, no hāmah, and no ṣafar.” A man said to him, “O Messenger of Allah, we take a mangy sheep and throw it among the flock, and then the flock becomes mangy.” He said, “Then who infected the first one?”
