حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ رَجُلٌ نَذَرَ ليَطُوفَنَّ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ سَبْعًا قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ «لَمْ يُؤْمَرُوا أَنْ يَطُوفُوا حَبْوًا وَلَكِنْ لِيَطُفْ لرُكْبَتِهِ سَبْعًا ولِقَدَمِهِ سَبْعًا» قُلْتُ وَلَمْ يَأْمُرْهُ بِكَفَّارَةٍ؟ قَالَ «لَا»

✧ I said to ʿAtaʾ: A man vowed to circumambulate on his knees seven times. He said: Ibn ʿAbbas said: “They were not commanded to circumambulate crawling, but let him circumambulate for his knee seven times and for his foot seven times.” I said: Did he not command him an expiation? He said: “No.”
