حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاهِبِ الْحَارِثِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

يُكْرَهُ الْكَلَامُ فِي أَرْبَعِ مَوَاطِنَ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمِ الْأَضْحَى وَفِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ إِذَا صَعِدَ الْإِمَامُ الْمِنْبَرَ فَيَتَكَلَّمُ حَتَّى يَنْزِلَ

✧ Speech is disliked in four situations: on the day of Friday (Jumuʿah), on the day of Fiṭr, on the day of Aḍḥā, and during the prayer for rain, when the imam ascends the pulpit; he speaks until he descends.
