حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَعْلَبَكِّيُّ ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ الْوُضُوءُ؟ «فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِوَضُوءٍ فَغَسَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَظَاهِرِ أُذُنَيْهِ مَعَ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا» ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا الْوُضُوءُ فَمَنْ زَادَ عَلَى هَذَا فَقَدْ تَعَدَّى وَظَلَمَ

✧ A bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah, how is ablution performed?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for water for ablution and washed his right hand three times, then he put his hand into the vessel, then he rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose, each three times, then he wiped his head and the outer part of his ears along with his head, then he washed his feet three times. Then he said, “This is ablution. Whoever adds to this has transgressed and wronged.”
