حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ خَالِهِ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يُبْسَطُ لَهُ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ فَيَتَحَدَّثُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ أَخْبِرْنِي عَمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ فَقَالَ
ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ لَا أُخْبِرُكُ إِلَّا مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ فِي بَيْتِهِ فَجَاءَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَقَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بِالْبَابِ أُتِيَ بِصَحْفَةٍ فِيهَا خُبْزٌ وَلَحْمٌ فَرَجَعَ بِأَصْحَابِهِ فَأَكَلَ وَأَكَلُوا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ وَخَالُ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ مُوسَى بْنُ يَسَارٍ

✧ Ibn Abbas said: I will only inform you of what I saw from Allah’s Messenger ﷺ. He and his companions were in his house when the muezzin came, so he stood up for the prayer. When he reached the door, a platter containing bread and meat was brought to him, so he returned with his companions and he ate and they ate. Then he went back to the prayer and did not perform ablution. The maternal uncle of Ibn Ishaq, Musa b. Yasar, [was present].
