✧ Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said: “Jibril ﷺ led me in prayer at the House twice. He prayed Zuhr with me when the sun had declined, by the measure of a sandal strap. Then he prayed Asr with me when the shadow of every object was equal to its length. Then he prayed Maghrib with me when the fasting person breaks his fast. Then he prayed Isha with me when the twilight had disappeared. Then he prayed Fajr with me when food and drink became forbidden for the fasting person. Then the next day he prayed Zuhr with me when the shadow of every object was equal to its length. Then he prayed Asr with me when the shadow of every object was twice its length. Then he prayed Maghrib with me at the same time, when the fasting person breaks his fast. Then he prayed Isha with me when the first third of the night had passed. Then he prayed Fajr with me.” Abu Nu’aym said, “I do not know what he said regarding Fajr.” Then he said, “He turned to me and said, ‘O Muhammad, this is the time of the prophets before you; the time is what lies between these two times.’”
