حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَهْضَمٍ مُوسَى بْنِ سَالِمٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي فِتْيَةٍ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ فَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ هَلْ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ لَعَلَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي نَفْسِهِ

✧ We were sitting with Ibn ʿAbbas among a group of young men of Banu Hashim, and a man asked him: Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in Zuhr and ʿAsr? He said: No. He said: Perhaps he used to recite within himself.
