حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ قَالَا ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّ قَوْمَكَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَمَلَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَأَنَّهَا سُنَّةٌ قَالَ صَدَقُوا وَكَذَبُوا لَيْسَتْ بِسُنَّةٍ

✧ I said to Ibn 'Abbas, 'Your people claim that the Prophet ﷺ performed ramal around the House and between al-Safa and al-Marwah, and that it is a sunnah.' He said, 'They have spoken truth and spoken falsehood; it is not a sunnah.'
