✧ One day the Messenger of God ﷺ made a mark on the ground with a stick, then raised his head and said, “There is no soul that is born but that its place in Paradise and Hell has been written, and whether it is wretched or felicitous.” A man from the group said, “O Messenger of God, should we then abandon deeds?” He said, “No, but act, for everyone is facilitated. As for the people of felicity, they are facilitated toward felicity, and as for the people of wretchedness, they are facilitated toward wretchedness.” Then he recited: “As for him who gives and fears and affirms the best.”
