حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْبَرْذَعِيُّ بِمِصْرَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عُبَيْدُ بْنُ خَلَصَةَ بِمَعَرَّةِ النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، عَنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أَبِي أَخَذَ مَالِي ! فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِلرَّجُلِ: " اذْهَبْ فَأْتِنِي بِأَبِيكَ ! فَنَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ - عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ اللهَ يُقْرِئُكَ السَّلَامَ، وَيَقُولُ: إِذَا جَاءَكَ الشَّيْخُ، فَسَلْهُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ قَالَهُ فِي نَفْسِهِ مَا سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَاهُ ! فَلَمَّا جَاءَ الشَّيْخُ قَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: مَا بَالُ ابْنِكَ يَشْكُوكَ ؟ أَتُرِيدُ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ مَالَهُ ؟ فَقَالَ: سَلْهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، هَلْ أَنْفَقْتُهُ إِلَّا عَلَى عَمَّاتِهِ أَوْ خَالَاتِهِ أَوْ عَلَى نَفْسِي ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: إِيهِ، دَعْنَا مِنْ هَذَا !

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, my father has taken my wealth!' The Prophet ﷺ said to the man, 'Go and bring me your father.' Then Jibril ﷺ descended upon the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'Allah sends you greetings of peace and says: When the old man comes to you, ask him about something he said in his heart, which his two ears did not hear.' When the old man came, the Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'What is the matter with your son complaining about you? Do you want to take his wealth?' He said, 'Ask him, O Messenger of Allah, whether I spent it except on his paternal aunts or maternal aunts or on myself.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Enough! Leave this aside!'
