✧ Ibn 'Umar never sat in a gathering but that he spoke certain words in it, except that he was asked about them, so he said: "The Prophet ﷺ used to supplicate with them: 'O God, forgive me what I have done and what I have delayed, what I have concealed and what I have made public, and what You know better than I. O God, provide me with such obedience to You as will come between me and disobedience to You, and provide me with such fear of You as will make me reach Your mercy, and provide me with such certainty as will make the misfortunes of this world easy for me, and bless my hearing and my sight, and make them both my heirs, and set my vengeance upon the one who wronged me, and help me against the one who is hostile to me, and do not make my affliction in my religion, and do not make this world my greatest concern or the limit of my knowledge.'"
