✧ We went on a military expedition with the Messenger of God ﷺ and captured some red donkeys belonging to the Jews. We slaughtered them and cooked them, and the Messenger of God ﷺ was informed. He ordered a caller, who announced among the people that the flesh of domesticated donkeys is not lawful; the Messenger of God ﷺ forbade it. They also found onions and garlic in their gardens and ate from them while the people were hungry. Then they went to the mosque, and the smell of the mosque was of onions and garlic. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Whoever eats from this foul plant, let him not come near us in our mosque."
