حَدَّثَنَا حُذَاقَى بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ الْمُسْتَنِيرِ بْنِ حُذَاقَى بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ عِيَاضِ بْنِ مِخْرَقٍ اللَّخْمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ الْمُسْتَنِيرِ، عَنْ خَالِهِ أَخِي أُمِّهِ وَهُوَ خَالِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ جَهْوَرَ قَالَ:

وَرَدَ عَلَيَّ كِتَابٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِيهِ: بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ، مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى زِيَادِ بْنِ جَهْوَرَ، سِلْمٌ أَنْتَ، فَإِنِّي أَحْمَدُ اللهَ إِلَيْكَ [ إِلَيْكَ اللهَ ] الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، أَمَّا بَعْدُ، فَإِنِّي أُذَكِّرُكَ اللهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ، أَمَّا بَعْدُ، فَلْيُوضَعَنَّ كُلُّ دِينٍ دَانَ بِهِ النَّاسُ إِلَّا الْإِسْلَامَ فَاعْلَمْ ذَلِكَ

✧ A letter came to me from the Messenger of God ﷺ, containing: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. From Muhammad, the Messenger of God ﷺ, to Ziyad b. Jahwar: You are at peace, for I praise God to you, [to you God], besides whom there is no deity. To proceed: I remind you of God and the Last Day. To proceed: every religion that people have professed will be abandoned except Islam, so know that.
