✧ Ali ؓ used to teach the people how to invoke blessings upon the Prophet of God, saying: O God, You who spread out the spread-out earth, created the raised heavens, and shaped hearts according to their innate natures, both their wretched and their blessed, make the most noble of Your blessings, the increasing of Your barakah, and the highest of Your greetings upon Muhammad, Your servant and messenger, the seal of what has passed, the opener of what was closed, the one who makes the truth known by the truth, and the crusher of the assaults of falsehood, as he fulfilled and undertook Your command in obedience to You, seeking Your pleasure fully, without any deficiency in his resolve or weakness in his determination, calling to Your revelation, guarding Your covenant, and pressing forward in carrying out Your command until he brought light, smiling, to a seeker of fire. Through him hearts were guided after the blunders of trials and sin, with the clear signs, the joys of Islam, and the noble qualities of the rulings. He is Your trusted, trustworthy one, the treasurer of Your stored knowledge, Your witness on the Day of Judgment, Your sent one as a blessing, and Your messenger with the truth as a mercy. O God, expand for him a spacious place in Your justice, and reward him with multiplied good from Your bounty, delightful and unspoiled, from the known reward of Your recompense and the abundant grant of Your giving. O God, raise his edifice above the edifices of those who remain, honor his resting place and his hospitality with You, and perfect for him his light and his reward from Your choosing him, accepted in testimony, pleasing in speech, one of just words, decisive speech, great proof and evidence.
