✧ She granted protection to two men from Banu Makhzum on the day the Messenger of God ﷺ conquered Makkah. Ali entered upon her and said: What is this, O Umm Hani? I will surely kill them. She said: So I locked the door on them, then went to the Messenger of God ﷺ and found him bathing while his daughter Fatimah was shielding him with a cloth. He bathed, then took the cloth and wrapped himself, then prayed the Duha prayer, eight rak'ahs. Then he said: What is the matter with you, O Umm Hani? I said: I have granted protection to two men from among my relatives, and Ali came wanting to kill them. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: We have granted safety to those you have granted safety, and we have granted protection to those you have granted protection.
