✧ She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, has there ever been a day more difficult for you than the day of Uhud?' He said: 'I suffered from your people, and the worst I suffered from them was the day of al-'Aqabah, when I presented myself to Ibn 'Abd Yalil b. 'Abd Kulal, and he did not respond to what I wanted. I went away distressed, and I did not regain myself until I was at Qarn al-Tha'alib. I raised my head and saw a cloud shading me. I looked and saw Jibril in it. He called me and said: Allah has heard the words of your people and how they replied to you, and He has sent the Angel of the Mountains to you so that you may command him whatever you wish concerning them. Then the Angel of the Mountains called me, greeted me, and said: O Muhammad, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has heard the words of your people. I am the Angel of the Mountains, and your Lord has sent me to you so that you may command me with whatever you wish. If you wish, I will crush them between the two mountains. I said: Rather, I hope that Allah will bring forth from their loins those who worship Allah without associating anything with Him.'
