حَدَّثَنَا مِقْدَامٌ: ثَنَا أَسَدٌ: ثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ الْمُحَلِّمِيِّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ:
جَاءَ يَهُودِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ، تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ يَأْكُلُونَ فِيهَا وَيَشْرَبُونَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُعْطَى مِثْلَ قُوَّةِ مِائَةٍ فِي الْأَكْلِ، وَالشُّرْبِ، وَالشَّهْوَةِ، وَالْجِمَاعِ "، فَقَالَ الْيَهُودِيُّ: إِنَّ الَّذِي يَأْكُلُ وَيَشْرَبُ يَكُونُ لَهُ الْحَاجَةُ، وَالْجَنَّةُ مُطَهَّرَةٌ ؟ قَالَ: " حَاجَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ عَرَقٌ يَفِيضُ مِنْ جِلْدِهِ كَرِيحِ الْمِسْكِ، فَإِذَا بَطْنُهُ قَدْ ضَمُرَ

✧ A Jew came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Abu al-Qasim, do you claim that the people of Paradise eat and drink therein?' He said: 'Yes, by the One in Whose hand is my soul, a man will be given the strength of a hundred in eating, drinking, desire, and intercourse.' The Jew said: 'But the one who eats and drinks will have need [to relieve himself], while Paradise is pure?' He said: 'The need of one of them will be a sweat that flows from his skin like the fragrance of musk, and then his belly will become flat.'
