حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ قَالَ: نَا شَاذٌّ قَالَ: نَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ كِنَانَةَ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ:
دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا أَبْكِي، فَقَالَ: يَا بِنْتَ حُيَيٍّ، مَا يُبْكِيكِ ؟ "، قَالَتْ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ وَحَفْصَةَ تَنَالَانِ مِنِّي وَتَقُولَانِ: نَحْنُ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا، نَحْنُ بَنَاتُ عَمِّ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَزْوَاجُهُ قَالَ: " أَلَا قُلْتِ: كَيْفَ تَكُونَانِ خَيْرًا مِنِّي وَأَبِي هَارُونُ، وَعَمِّي مُوسَى، وَزَوْجِي مُحَمَّدٌ ؟

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon me while I was weeping. He said: O daughter of Ḥuyayy, what makes you weep? She said: It has reached me that ʿĀʾisha and Ḥafṣa disparage me and say: We are better than her; we are the daughters of the paternal cousin of the Messenger of God ﷺ and his wives. He said: Did you not say: How can you two be better than me when my father is Hārūn, my uncle is Mūsā, and my husband is Muḥammad?
