✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon 'A'isha while her sister Asma' was with her, wearing Syrian garments with wide sleeves. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at her, he stood up and left. 'A'isha said to her: "Move aside, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw something he disliked." So she moved aside, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered. 'A'isha asked him: "Why did he stand up?" He said: "Did you not see her appearance? It is not (permissible) for a Muslim woman to show anything of herself except this" – and he took hold of his sleeves and covered his palms with them until nothing showed of his palms except his fingers, and he placed his palms on his temples until nothing showed except his face.
