✧ On the day of Uhud, the people of Madinah were thrown into confusion. They said: 'Muhammad has been killed,' until there were many shouts in a part of Madinah. A woman from the Ansar went out girded, and she was met with her son, her father, her husband, and her brother—I do not know which of them she was met with first. When she passed the last of them, she said: 'Who is this?' They said: 'Your father, your brother, your husband, your son.' She said: 'What has happened to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' They said: 'He is ahead of you.' She was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and she took hold of the edge of his garment, then said: 'May my father and mother be your ransom, O Messenger of Allah! I do not care who has perished as long as you are safe.'
