✧ The Prophet ﷺ came to the door of a man of the Ansar and greeted, while the Ansari was with his wife. He responded while he was still on her, then he greeted a second time, and he responded but did not get up. Then he left when he was not given permission. The other man got up before finishing and went out following the Prophet ﷺ seeking him. Abu Hurayrah said: We came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was standing, and we gathered around him. The man bathed in a river beside his house, then came having bathed. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'He bathed, though ghusl was not obligatory on him.' The man came apologizing to the Prophet ﷺ and told him his situation. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'You bathed, though ghusl was not obligatory on you.'
