حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ابْنُ الْإِمَامِ، نَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْمُعْتَمِرَ بْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ، يَقُولُ: ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ التَّحَلُّقِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ الْإِمَامِ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي حَفْصٍ:

سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ يَحْيَى ؟ قَالَ: " أَكْثَرَ مِنْ مِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ ". قَالَ أَبُو حَفْصٍ: رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ مَهْدِيٍّ جَاءَ إِلَى حَلْقَةِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، وَمُعَاذِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، فَقَعَدَ خَارِجًا مِنَ الْحَلْقَةِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ يَحْيَى: ادْخُلْ فِي الْحَلْقَةِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: أَنْتَ حَدَّثْتَنِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ التَّحَلُّقِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ الْإِمَامِ " فَقَالَ لَهُ يَحْيَى: أَنَا رَأَيْتُ حَبِيبَ بْنَ الشَّهِيدِ، وَهِشَامَ بْنَ حَسَّانَ، وَسَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ يَتَحَلَّقُونَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ الْإِمَامِ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: " هَؤُلَاءِ بَلَغَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ التَّحَلُّقِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، ثُمَّ تَحَلَّقُوا " فَسَكَتَ يَحْيَى

✧ Did you hear this from Yahya? He said: "More than a hundred times." Abu Hafs said: I saw Abd al-Rahman b. Mahdi come to the circle of Yahya b. Said and Muadh b. Muadh, and he sat outside the circle on Friday before the prayer. Yahya said to him: "Enter the circle." Abd al-Rahman said to him: "You narrated to me from Muhammad b. Ajlan, from Amr b. Shuayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade sitting in circles on Friday before the imam comes out." Yahya said to him: "I saw Habib b. al-Shahid, Hisham b. Hassan, and Said b. Abi Aruba sitting in circles on Friday before the imam came out." Abd al-Rahman said: "These people knew that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade sitting in circles on Friday, yet they still did it." Yahya fell silent.
