✧ Umar b. al-Khattab addressed us in Syria and said: The Messenger of God ﷺ stood among us in a position like my standing among you, and said: “I enjoin you to treat my companions well, I enjoin you to treat my companions well, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then lying will spread until a man testifies before he is asked to testify, and swears an oath before he is asked to swear. Whoever desires the best part of Paradise, let him adhere to the community, for Satan is with the lone individual, and he is farther from two. Whoever is pleased by his good deed and distressed by his evil deed is a believer.”
