حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثَنَا أَبِي، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ:

اشْتَرَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ أَعْرَابِيٍّ - حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ - حِمْلَ قَرْضٍ، أَوْ حِمْلَ خَبَطٍ، فَلَمَّا أَوْجَبَ لَهُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " اخْتَرْ، فَقَالَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ: إِنْ رَأَيْتُ كَالْيَوْمِ يَوْمًا، عَمْرَكَ اللهُ، مِمَّنْ أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ: " مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ".

✧ The Prophet ﷺ bought from a Bedouin—I think he said: from Banu 'Amir b. Sa'sa'ah—a load of qaraz, or a load of khabat. When he concluded the deal with him, the Prophet ﷺ said: "Choose." The Bedouin said: "If I have ever seen a day like today, may Allah grant you long life, from whom are you?" He said: "From Quraysh."
