حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ: وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي: حَدَّثَنَا مُسْتَلِمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُعَتِّبٍ مَوْلَى صَفِيَّةَ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا كَوْمٌ مِنْ نَوَى، فَسَأَلَهَا: مَا هَذَا ؟ فَقَالَتْ: أُسَبِّحُ بِهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَقَدْ سَبَّحْتُ مُنْذُ قُمْتُ عَنْكِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ سَبَّحْتِ. فَقَالَتْ: كَيْفَ قُلْتَ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ عَدَدَ مَا خَلَقَ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon her while there was a heap of date stones in front of her. He asked her, “What is this?” She said, “I glorify God with it, O Messenger of God.” The Messenger of God ﷺ said to her, “I have glorified since I left you more than everything you have glorified.” She said, “How did you say?” He said, “I said: Glory be to God as many as what He has created.”
