حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ خَلَفٍ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ - جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَزِينًا لَا يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَا لِي أَرَاكَ يَا جِبْرِيلُ حَزِينًا ؟ " قَالَ: إِنَّى رَأَيْتُ لَفْحَةً مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ، فَلَمْ يَرْجِعْ إِلَيَّ رُوحِي بَعْدُ

✧ Jibril ﷺ came to the Prophet ﷺ sorrowful, not lifting his head. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to him: “Why do I see you, O Jibril, sorrowful?” He said: “I saw a blast from Jahannam, and my soul has not returned to me yet.”
