حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ: ثَنَا عَمِّي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ: نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيُّ، أَنَّ حُمْرَانَ مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ

أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ " تَوَضَّأَ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ نَحْوَ وُضُوئِي "، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ نَحْوَ وُضُوئِي هَذَا، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، لَا يُحَدِّثُ نَفْسَهُ فِيهِمَا إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ

✧ Uthman ؓ performed ablution washing each part three times, then said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution like my ablution.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever performs ablution like this ablution of mine, then prays two rak'ahs without letting his mind wander to anything but good, his previous sins will be forgiven.'
