✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us, and we were seven people: four from our freed slaves and three from our Arabs, leaning our backs against his mosque. He said: “What has seated you?” We said: “We sat waiting for the prayer.” He said: He paused a little, then turned to us and said: “Do you know what your Lord says?” We said: “No.” He said: “Indeed your Lord says: Whoever performs the prayer at its proper time, maintains it, and does not neglect it out of disregard for its right, he has a pledge from Me that I will admit him to Paradise. And whoever does not perform it at its proper time, does not maintain it, and neglects it out of disregard for its right, he has no pledge from Me; if I will, I punish him, and if I will, I forgive him.”
