✧ I was shown what my community will face after me, and how they will shed each other's blood. That was decreed by Allah just as it was decreed for the nations before you. So I asked Him to grant me His intercession for them on the Day of Resurrection, and He did.

machine translationShuʿayb b. Abī Ḥamzah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abū al-Yamān narrated it from him in two ways: once he related it from him from Shuʿayb, from al-Zuhrī, from Anas, from Umm Ḥabībah; and he also related it from Shuʿayb, from Ibn Abī Ḥusayn. The version of al-Zuhrī is not preserved (ghayr maḥfūẓ), and the version of Ibn Abī Ḥusayn is more likely correct.
