حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو أَبُو زُرْعَةَ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مُسْهِرٍ قَالَ: نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ غَزِيَّةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ قَالَ:
صَلَّى لَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ " صَلَاةَ الْمَغْرِبِ، فَسَلَّمَ مِنِ اثْنَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ قَامَ يَسْتَلِمُ الْحَجَرَ "، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِمْ، فَقَالَ: أَمَا لَوْ أَنَّا أَتْمَمْنَا لَكُمْ صَلَاتَكُمْ، فَأَشَارُوا إِلَيْهِ إِنَّكَ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ، " فَرَجَعَ فَصَلَّى الرَّكْعَةَ الَّتِي بَقِيَتْ، ثُمَّ تَشَهَّدَ وَسَلَّمَ، وَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ مِنْ بَعْدَ مَا سَلَّمَ "، فَأَتَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: مَا أَمَاطَ عَنْ سُنَّةِ نَبِيِّهِ ﷺ

✧ Abdullah b. al-Zubayr led us in the Maghrib prayer and he gave the salutation after two rak'ahs, then he got up to touch the Black Stone. The people said: "Glory be to Allah!" He turned to them and said: "If only we had completed your prayer for you." They indicated to him that he had not done so. He returned and prayed the remaining rak'ah, then he recited the tashahhud and gave the salutation, and he prostrated twice after the salutation. I went to Ibn Abbas and mentioned that to him, and he said: "He did not deviate from the Sunnah of his Prophet ﷺ."
