حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثِ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ: نَا أَبِي قَالَ: نَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَلِيحٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ ذِي حِمَايَةَ، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
حَجَجْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَجَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ، فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ صَلَاةَ الْغَدَاةِ فِي مِنًى، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ إِذَا رَجُلَانِ خَلْفَ النَّاسِ لَمْ يُصَلِّيَا مَعَ النَّاسِ، فَقَالَ: عَلَيَّ بِالرَّجُلَيْنِ فَجِيءَ بِهِمَا تُرْعَدُ فَرَائِصُهُمَا، فَقَالَ: " أَمَا صَلَّيْتُمَا مَعَنَا ؟ " فَقَالَا: لَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّا كُنَّا صَلَّيْنَا فِي رِحَالِنَا، وَظَنَنَّا أَنَّا لَا نُدْرِكُ الصَّلَاةَ. قَالَ: " فَلَا تَفْعَلَا، إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمَا فِي رِحَالِكُمَا، ثُمَّ أَدْرَكْتُمَا الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلِّيَا، تَكُونُ لَكُمَا نَافِلَةً " فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا: اسْتَغْفِرْ لِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ: " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ " فَازْدَحَمَ النَّاسُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ كَأَشَبِّ الرِّجَالِ وَأَقْوَاهُمْ، فَزَحَمْتُ النَّاسَ حَتَّى أَخَذْتُ بِيَدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَوَضَعْتُهَا عَلَى صَدْرِي، فَلَمْ أَرَ شَيْئًا كَانَ أَبْرَدَ وَلَا أَطْيَبَ مِنْ يَدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ I performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Farewell Pilgrimage, and I prayed the morning prayer with him in Mina. When he finished his prayer, there were two men behind the people who had not prayed with the people. He said: 'Bring the two men to me.' They were brought, trembling with fear. He said: 'Did you not pray with us?' They said: 'No, O Messenger of Allah, we had prayed in our camps and thought we would not catch the prayer.' He said: 'Do not do that. If you pray in your camps and then catch the prayer, pray it, and it will be a supererogatory prayer for you.' One of them said: 'Ask forgiveness for me, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'O Allah, forgive him.' The people crowded around the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I was then among the most youthful and strongest of men, so I pushed through the people until I took the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and placed it on my chest. I have never seen anything cooler or more fragrant than the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
