✧ While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a young man appeared to us from the mountain pass. When we looked at him, we said, “If only this young man would put his energy, youth, and strength in the path of Allah.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard our words and said, “And what is the path of Allah except one who is killed? Whoever strives on behalf of his parents is in the path of Allah, whoever strives on behalf of his dependents is in the path of Allah, and whoever strives to accumulate is in the path of the false god.”
