✧ When the prohibition of wine was revealed, the Messenger of God ﷺ commanded a crier to call out: 'Verily wine has been forbidden, so do not sell it, do not buy it, and whoever has any of it should spill it.' Abu Talhah said: 'O boy, untie the waterskin and spill it.' So the people spilled it, and on that day they had no wine except unripe dates and dry dates.
