✧ I witnessed the Messenger of God ﷺ during the Farewell Pilgrimage while he was delivering a sermon and saying: “O people, which month is most sacred?” They said, “This month.” He said, “Which day is most sacred?” They said, “This day,” and it was the Day of Sacrifice. He said, “Which land is greatest in sanctity with God?” They said, “This one.” He said, “Indeed, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to you on this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours, until the day you meet your Lord. Have I conveyed?” The people said, “Yes.” He raised his hands to the sky and said, “O God, bear witness.” Then he said, “O people, have I conveyed?” They said, “Yes.” He raised his hands to the sky and said, “O God, bear witness.” Then he said, “Let the one present among you convey to the absent.” Wābiṣah said, “We witnessed and you were absent, and we convey to you as the Messenger of God ﷺ said.”
