✧ Gold for gold, silver for silver, wheat for wheat, barley for barley, salt for salt, like for like. Whoever increases or asks for an increase has committed riba. It was said, 'O Messenger of Allah, the owner of your dates buys one sa' for two sa's.' So he sent for him and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, my dates are such and such, so they will not take them unless I give them more.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Do not do that.'
