حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ:

خَرَجْتُ فِي سَفَرٍ فَلَمَّا رَجَعْتُ قَالَ لِي عُمَرُ: مَنْ صَحِبْتَ ؟ قُلْتُ: صَحِبْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: أَمَا سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: أَخُوكَ الْبَكْرِيُّ وَلَا تَأْمَنْهُ

✧ I went out on a journey, and when I returned, ʿUmar said to me, "Who accompanied you?" I said, "A man from Banu Bakr b. Waʾil accompanied me." ʿUmar said, "Have you not heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, 'Your brother the Bakri, but do not trust him'?"
