✧ Muʿāwiya wrote to al-Mughīra b. Shuʿba: 'Write to me something you heard from the Messenger of God ﷺ.' So al-Mughīra wrote to him: The Messenger of God ﷺ used to say when he finished the prayer: 'There is no god but God alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. O God, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the good fortune of a fortunate person avails nothing against You.' And he used to forbid gossip, excessive questioning, and wasting wealth.
